Maria is an ESG professional having an extensive academic background as well as experience within environmental engineering and ecosystems.

Maria is a ESG professional with a technical engineering degree in environmental engineering and sustainable environments at Polytechnic University in Madrid combined with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography and Ecosystems Sciences from Lund University. Maria has extensive experience in sustainable environments having worked at Hydrosat. Additionally, she gained valuable insights into solar energy while working for a Dutch solar company. Her passion for sustainable environments drives her work and makes her a highly valuable asset asset to SKALA, where she plays a crucial role in making the company meet its high ESG standards.

SKALA Partners acquires the rights to a large-scale solar energy project in Sweden

Stockholm, June 17, 2024 – SKALA Partners hereby announces that the company has acquired the rights to a large-scale solar power project. The project is located in southern Sweden in electricity area SE3 and is in an early development phase. When the project is in operation, the project will have a capacity of approx. 45 MW and is estimated to contribute sustainable energy to more than 9,000 villas for the equivalent annual consumption of household electricity.

The acquisition is an important step in SKALA’s journey towards becoming a leading player in renewable energy in the Nordics. Until 2029, SKALA intends to have a portfolio of projects in development and operation of over 1.8 GW in renewable energy.

SKALA Partners acquires the rights to a large-scale solar energy project in Norway

Stockholm, 11 June 2024 – SKALA Partners announces today that the company has acquired the rights to a large-scale solar energy project. The project is located in Norway in electricity area NO2 and is in an early development phase. When the project is in operation, the project will have a capacity of approx. 15 MW and is estimated to contribute sustainable energy to approximately 1 100 households.

The acquisition is an important step in SKALA’s journey towards becoming a leading player in renewable energy in the Nordics. Until 2029, SKALA intends to have a portfolio of projects in development and operation totalling 1.8 GW in renewable energy.

“We are very happy to finally be able to communicate that we have secured our first project in Norway, which is the first of many more projects to come. Our plan is to have more than 650 MW of solar power in Norway within the next 5 years,” says Børge Tvorg, co-founder and Chief Development Officer at SKALA.

Lina has +18 years experience from business development of which recent +5 years as business manager and project development within the Nordic solar industry.

Lina recently worked as Business Manager and Project Developer at Solkompaniet, a leading Swedish EPC for solar energy. Before entering into renewables, Lina worked with business development, business leadership and global product management at multinational companies including GE Healthcare and Atlas Copco, among others. Lina holds a Master of science in Mechanical engineering and Marketing from Linköping Uni.

Carl holds 5+ years of experience from corporate finance and international renewables M&A, gained from top investment banks and a leading renewables developer.

Former Transaction Associate at OX2 AB, a leading international developer and EPC provider of large-scale solar and wind power projects. Prior to that, transaction experience from M&A advisory at Access Partners as well as intern roles at FSN Capital Partners, Carnegie Investment Bank and Clearwater International. Carl holds a Bachelor of Science at Stockholm School of Economics.

Rikard holds 14 years of experience from renewables financing, gained from top investment banks and leading developers in the Nordic region.

Former CFO Sustainable Energy Solutions, a publicly listed developer of large-scale solar power and energy storage projects. Previously M&A director at OX2 AB, a leading EPC provider of large-scale wind power projects. Prior, eight years of experience from M&A advisory and project finance debt transactions in the renewables sector at DNB Markets IBD.
