SKALA Partners acquires the rights to a large-scale solar energy project in Norway
Stockholm, 11 June 2024 – SKALA Partners announces today that the company has acquired the rights to a large-scale solar energy project. The project is located in Norway in electricity area NO2 and is in an early development phase. When the project is in operation, the project will have a capacity of approx. 15 MW and is estimated to contribute sustainable energy to approximately 1 100 households.
The acquisition is an important step in SKALA’s journey towards becoming a leading player in renewable energy in the Nordics. Until 2029, SKALA intends to have a portfolio of projects in development and operation totalling 1.8 GW in renewable energy.
“We are very happy to finally be able to communicate that we have secured our first project in Norway, which is the first of many more projects to come. Our plan is to have more than 650 MW of solar power in Norway within the next 5 years,” says Børge Tvorg, co-founder and Chief Development Officer at SKALA.
