SKALA DEVELOPS AND BUILDS SUSTAINABLE RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECTS

SKALA’s 1.8 GW pipeline will enable electricity for over 100,000 households and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by over 1,100,000 tonnes.

For us, it is important that:

  • We develop and build energy projects according to the gold standards for sustainable development

  • We carry out impact assessments for the environment and society

  • We cooperate with local actors – it is important to us that everyone is heard

  • We protect biological diversity, climate and environment

  • We avoid land encroachment in protected areas, farmland and wetlands

  • We strive to contribute to the green transition, improved energy balance and lower electricity prices

HOW WE WORK

  • Our development process for solar power plants is based on the UN’s sustainability goals and specific standards in each individual country

  • Looking forward to input from the municipality, landowners and local community in the development of the power plants

  • Facilitates corporate social responsibility with local resources

  • Offers the municipality, local power companies and landowners part ownership in the power plant

  • Uses products with EPD environmental certification*

  • Gentle decommissioning of the facility and re-cultivation plan at the end of the license

  • We are looking for long-term power contracts with local companies
